Where does software actually sit in a renewable system?

- Predictive maintenance on turbines and inverters.
- Search over candidate materials for cells or catalysts.
- Trading and bidding in power markets.
- Siting studies that still depend on permits and land.
- Industrial load shifting, which is operations, not a new law of physics.
- Carbon accounting, which is a report unless meters back it.
- Consumer apps that only visualize a bill.
- Claims of a new fuel or battery chemistry, which need a lab replication, not a model score.
